Ever Clever Slipcovers update living room

Slipcovers should not be considered an inexpensive option; however, they can transform well worn/loved quality furniture. Two matching Harden sofas, wing chair and arm chair had seen better days;nonetheless, the scale was right in the room. The designer drew color and inspiration from the clients much loved hand knotted rug. Fresh paint, new window treatment and thoughtful fabric choices for the slipcovers breath new life into the room.

The client loves the results and workmanship; her friends cannot believe they are slipcovers.... I don't know how I feel about that, nothing déclassé about them. To slipcover or reupholster is a lifestyle choice. The money - not so much.
A woven plaid was considered to replace the seat of the Queen Anne arm chair. In the end the client decided on an upholstery weight small woven pattern that added interest and energy to the room.

Before and after (not in client's setting).
Rather than an ordinary upholstered seat, the designer opted for a charming loose cover with dressmaker details.
Knowing the client was not a bow or tie person....
She specified:
Welted seat
Tailored inverted pleat skirt
Tab closure at base of arms, and wrapped skirt at back (both with covered button closure).
